Bangladesh – India Bilateral Relationships
On September 28, 2024, the “March for Justice” (MfJ) hosted its inaugural discussion in Scarborough, Toronto, marking a pivotal moment in fostering dialogue on key issues between Bangladesh and India. MfJ President Shahid Khandker officially opened the event with a warm welcome to the large and enthusiastic audience of community members, activists, and leaders. His uplifting introduction set a positive and collaborative tone, creating an atmosphere for dynamic discussions and inspiring active participation from all attendees.

The keynote presentation was delivered by Dr. Khalid Hasan, General Secretary of MfJ and a prominent human rights activist. Dr. Hasan provided an insightful analysis of the evolving bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and India, addressing pressing challenges while highlighting potential opportunities to strengthen ties between the two nations. His presentation laid a strong foundation for the discussions that followed.

Several designated speakers contributed valuable
perspectives on diplomatic, economic, and cultural cooperation, sparking a broader dialogue. Many attendees also shared their thoughts and suggestions on how to further develop Bangladesh-India relations, fostering a rich exchange of ideas.

Strengthening National Defense
- Introduce compulsory military trainingfor all citizens aged 18 – 30

- Reforming and strengthening key institutions, including the judiciary, law enforcement, education, health and other foundational systems, to ensure rule of law and good governance.
- Branding as a self respected and self reliant strong nation standing for truth and justice everywhere!
RESOUNDING CONCLUSION
The event was expertly coordinated by Gazi Salahuddin Mahmud, Public Relations and Cultural Secretary of MfJ, whose efforts contributed to its overall success. His careful organization ensured that guests felt comfortable and at ease throughout the event, enhancing their experience and encouraging active participation.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from veteran journalist and Chief Advisor of MfJ, Rezaul K. Talukdar, who summarized the day’s discussions and acknowledged the contributions of all participants. With a strong turnout and meaningful exchanges, the event was a resounding success, setting the stage for future efforts by March for Justice in building stronger bilateral ties between Bangladesh and India.
